Sigma Xi’s national database of undergraduate research conferences invites you to contribute information about your event.

If you are responsible for an undergraduate conference, symposium, celebration day or similar event, please take 5 minutes or so to enter the event information into the database.

We aim to have a comprehensive catalog of the undergraduate research conferences and symposia ongoing in the US and beyond. This database will help present and future organizers and participants in several ways.

• Inform organizers of what conferences are ongoing in their geographical area, discipline, etc. to minimize duplication.
• Provide contact info for organizers of conferences to get hints, tips, suggestions, etc. on how to run a conference.
• Provide organizers and institutional administrators comparative data on such criteria as attendance, sponsorship, etc.
• Provide students options for conferences where they can present their research.
• Provide UR researchers a “big picture” view of conference and symposium activity.
• Provide sponsors information about conferences that they can support

To date, more than 60 events are included in our database. The data will be available free of charge to all participants in mid-2008.
