Boyer Report Follow-up Surveys
BioMath: The Interface of the Quantitative and Life Sciences
  Studies
The Reinvention Center conducts studies and multi-campus projects on aspects of undergraduate education that are of interests to research universities. A review of these studies is found below.

  The Boyer Report

The Boyer Commission on Educating Undergraduates in the Research University a report Reinventing Undergraduate Education: A Blueprint for America's Research Universities (1998) offered a new vision of undergraduate education.

  Boyer Report Follow-up Surveys

In 2001, at the behest of the Boyer Commission, the Reinvention Center conducted a survey to examine the development of undergraduate education at research universities in the three years following publication of its report. The survey used as its reference the "ten indicators of excellence" promulgated by the Boyer Commission. The Center is conducting a follow-up survey, focusing on the five year period from 2001-2006.

BioMath: The Interface of the Quantitative and Life Sciences

The Reinvention Center conducted a study, funded by the NSF, to determine the extent to which and how research universities are modifying their undergraduate education in the biological, mathematical, and computer sciences to reflect the increasing intersections of these disciplines in much biologically-related research.
